Bibione

Bibione is a renowned beach resort on the Adriatic Sea. It rises between the mouth of the river Tagliamento and the lagoon of Caorle and is located about 60 km from Udine and about 90 km from Trieste and Venice.
The good development and fast growth of its territory happened due to the presence of the sea. In the past was a marshy plain and at the beginning of the 20th century everything started by a consortium for land reclamation working on the banks of the River Tagliamento. In the mid-1900s, the tourist progression started with the planning of roads and the construction of the first hotels and holiday homes in Bibione, until it became a well-known seaside town suitable for families with children.
The beach of Bibione stretches from the lighthouse, symbol of the city, to Porto Baseleghe for about 11 km. It is full of bathing establishments that offer their services to all tourists: single, couples, groups of friend, families with children but also dog lovers and people with motor disabilities.
You can practice different sports on the beach in Bibione: beach volleyball, beach tennis, pilates, gym, zumba, and water sports such as windsurfing, fishing, swimming and diving, kayaking and a classic ride on the paddle boat (pedalò) with the family.
From May to September the town offers a rich programme of sport, cultural and food events that attract both Italian and foregneir tourists.
For your stay by the sea, you can book an apartment or a residence with pool, a seafront hotel, a hotel near to the beach or a holiday village or camping, taking advantage of the many cheap and last minute deals in Bibione.
Happy holidays in BIBIONE!
